Short Breaks. We do these, but mainly outside the main summer season, and less often in the Byre than in the Log Cabins, where we do lots of long weekends during the autumn, winter and spring.
If you are looking for less than a full week, please e-mail or phone with your requirements. We have spent nearly thirty years making these bookings without an automated system, so we rather like some personal contact anyway!
Longer than one week? Our fairly simple booking system may show lack of availability whereas it may actually be possible to shuffle bookings around from one Cabins to another, making a longer continuous vacancy. I suggest you phone - humans are still smarter than computers!
Prices are given for about one year ahead. After this they may default to high-season rates whatever the time of year. If you want to book this far ahead, please contact us!
Christmas and New Year. This is a popular time of year for holidays, and requires slightly different handling, because the days of the week are different each year. We only take full week bookings around this time. (Although we can't force you to stay for the seven nights, you will have to pay for them!) Changeover dates have to be around December 28th/29th/30th, so that both Christmas and New Year bookings can be accommodated. It is really best to telephone when booking this time of year, so that we can try and fit in with your requirements.
Deposit or Full Payment? If you are using online booking, the system will tell you that you are being charged 50% of the total cost if there are more than 28 days until your holiday. However, we are increasingly finding that people using credit cards, particularly if it is only a couple of months until the holiday, prefer to pay in full, so that they don't have to worry about remembering to send the balance. If you would like to do this, please just say so in the box where you can put "additional notes". The system cannot cope with this automatically, but I am proud to say that, with the added flexibility of a free-thinking human being, I can, and I will send you the appropriate receipt!
